WELCOME TO CASA AMARELA
LUXURY MANOR HOUSE LARGE GARDEN WITH MOUNTAIN VIEWS CLOSE TO RIVER BEACHES, FORESTS AND 'SCHIST' VILLAGES
Casa Amarela is a beautifully restored Manor House in the heart of Central Portugal, an area rich in culture, history and beautiful natural scenery. With 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 TV rooms, kitchen and dining room in the main house and 1 bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and living area in the separate Annex, it can easily accommodate extended family vacations or groups. It is available all year round.
Set on half an acre of land, you can enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the fruit and olive trees and surrounding mountains. Or you can venture out to explore the forests with their schist paths and mountain bike trails, or the famous river beaches with crystal clear waters only five minutes away in the neighbouring village of Góis. Located only 40 mins east of Coimbra, it is the perfect base from which to explore the historic medieval towns, culture, gastronomy and immense beauty of Central Portugal.
The manor was originally built in the 1930’s and was recently restored, retaining a number of architectural features. Decorated with modern, high quality furnishings, it provides all the comfort of home in a beautiful location.
Casa Amarela is located in Central Portugal, just outside the town of Góis in the Arganil district. About 40km east of the university town of Coimbra, it is 2 hrs from Porto and 2.30 hrs from Lisbon. Its central location makes it the perfect base to explore the region, whether it be the cool waters of the river beaches, the extensive forests and mountains with their hiking and biking trails, or the historical villages built from granite and schist. Some of these places are so important that they have been included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. With its great diversity of landscapes and climatic conditions, Central Portugal produces excellent wines that go well with the regional cuisine. And everywhere centuries old heritage proudly displays the history of the region.
